Customers of Esmeralda’s House Cleaning Services,

 

We are excited to present and implement some changes happening within our organization. Our teams have been hard at work since early October 2025 with drafting and testing these ideas, and we are ready to launch our hard work on April 1st, 2026.

Of all the changes we have made, only the changes that may impact you, and the services you receive will be highlighted in this document. To begin, our major change is our brand name; Esmeralda’s House Cleaning Services to Northern Star Residential Cleaning. We hope that this change gives a more “Minnesotan” identity to our organization, (we are already a small Minnesota company, but we still hope it helps). Do not worry, Esmeralda continues to be an administrator within our company!

Along with our name change, we are also updating our prices, revising scheduled time blocks for appointments, adding new extra services, changing our customer support hours, and many more changes to make your cleaning service more personalized. As always, we have designed these changes with you in mind to make your experience, whether it’s with our online presence or even in your kitchen, smooth and personal.

 

We greatly appreciate your continued support for a small, local business. Even though our name has changed, our goals and values are here to stay. Here’s to many years more!

Name Change

Starting on April 1st 2026, our organization’s name will be changed from Esmeralda’s House Cleaning Services to Northern Star Residential Cleaning. This change was made to highlight the local and Minnesotan identity of our company. All members of our organization participated in the process of changing the company name, and all agreed on Northern Star Residential Cleaning.

With this name change, our organization also revised some of the company’s values and goals.

 

Is Esmeralda still in the organization?
Yes! Esmeralda is still here, and helped brainstorm new name ideas with the entire team.


How will this impact my cleaning service?
This change is not expected to impact your cleaning service.

 

 

Invoice Updates


If you received a cleaning service, whether it was recurring or one-time, your invoice will be finalized and sent to your e-mail inbox on Wednesday, March 25th.

The State of Minnesota requires our business to report taxes monthly, which are typically due on the 20th of each month. To simplify our financial team’s schedules and books due to the name change, invoices will be delayed until March 25th so our financial team can prepare tax documents for the new name.

Payments for Esmeralda’s House Cleaning Services will be open until Monday, April 13th. Open invoices will receive multiple reminders to submit a payment.

What if I have an automatic payment?
Your payment link will NOT transfer due to security reasons that our payment processor has in place. You will have to enter your details again into the system to begin automatic payments. If you need help setting up auto payments again, our Customer Support team is here to help you!


Will you still accept the same payment methods?
Yes! But, you will need to re-submit your payment information to the invoice we send you.


Will the invoices look the same?
Yes, the only change will be the name presented in the top left corner which will read: Northern Star Residential Cleaning LLC


Can I still use checks?
Yes! However, checks must be written out to Northern Star Residential Cleaning LLC.


Will my invoice amount increase?
If you are a current recurring cleaning customer, your invoice amount will not increase.

 

 

 

Pricing Updates

Beginning on April 1st 2026, we will be increasing the prices for both our Standard and Deep Cleaning services. These changes were made due to the increasing cost for cleaning products, cleaning supplies, and the price of gasoline. The table below outlines the updated prices.

If you would like a custom extra service done during your cleaning service, you can request it through your personalized cleaning form, or you can ask your cleaning crew!

 

Can I get these extra services as a bundle?
At this time, extra services are not eligible to be bundled.


If I request an extra service to my cleaning crew that is not on the extra service catalog, will I be charged for it?

Yes, you will be charged by the length of time that the task takes. ($0.10 per minute)


How can I remove an extra service that I am currently receiving?
You can ask your cleaning crew to not perform the service, and it will be eliminated from your invoice. You can also submit a personalized cleaning form that is sent to your inbox before each appointment.

Our Customer Support hours allow for more time to reach out to us with any questions or comments you may have about the services we offer.

Please note that these hours may be changed at any time by the Chief Administrator. Severe weather, scheduled or unscheduled outages, or other emergency situations that arise may result in the Chief Administrator editing these hours.
